Many cities can be explored on foot or taken on tours by bus or bicycle. Another – special – way to get to know Munich is to take a carriage ride. This makes exploring the city not only more comfortable, but also a special and perhaps even romantic experience (depending on how many people you are traveling with).

This society has now become something of a small tight-knit circle of entertainment and literature addicts, because anyone who has peeked through the curtain and enjoyed the idea will definitely come back. Linderhof Castle and the beautiful castle park are located in the Graswangtal, near the climatic health resort of Ettal. After King Ludwig II had designed the Munich Residence according to his wishes and the laying of the foundation stone of Schwanstein Castle was completed, he turned his attention to the Linderhof. The Mariahilfkirche is not only an architectural specialty, its church bells are also significant. The second largest carillon in Germany, which was inaugurated on May 1, 2012, hangs in the tower: with a total weight of around 25 tons, the 65 bells ring out three times a week to create an impressive chime. The largest bell, the Paulanerin, rings over the roofs of the Au every hour on the hour. The carillon was financed through donations and all of the bells bear the donor's inscription.

The Munich Bladenight is a skate night in Munich that has been held from May to August since 1999. With up to 10,000 skaters per Bladenight, it is Europe's largest weekly night skating event. With a few exceptions, Bladenight always takes place on Mondays; different circuits are intended to cover as many city districts and levels of difficulty as possible.

The Schauspielhaus on Maximilianstrasse is one of the last and best-preserved Art Nouveau theaters in Germany. It was built by the architects Richard Riemerschmied and Max Littmann in 1900/1901. The auditorium has a total of 690 seats, of which 482 are in the stalls and 208 in the balcony and boxes. The stage has a total area of 162 m². The listed building was extensively renovated and restored between 2000 and 2003.

The Bavarian Elector Ferdinand Maria gave his wife a summer palace with a small garden on the occasion of the birth of the long-awaited heir to the throne. Today, the Nymphenburg Palace Park is a testimony to the transformation of a baroque garden into a landscape garden of an extremely high artistic level. The castle and park include the Museum of Man and Nature, the Erwin von Kreibig Museum and the Munich Botanical Garden. Of course, the castle is also open to visitors.
