Parkhotel im Lehelby Blattl

The site was once the Schachterleis, at the time Europe’s largest indoor ice rink. Built by the Munich industrialist Felix Unsöld, who used water from the Eisbach river to produce ice at his factory, the former rink is now home to the hotel. Munich breweries purchased the ice here that they needed to cool their beer.

Now it is the place to check in and feel at home. Perfectly situated in the central but quiet district of Lehel, the English Garden and Maximilianstraße are just a stones throw away.

It is a just a gentle stroll to Munich’s numerous sights like Haus der Kunst, the legendary Munich Viktualienmarkt, the Bavarian State Opera, the Munich Kammerspiele, the famous surfers’ wave on the Eisbach, and naturally the underground stop at Lehel as well.

A wide variety of restaurants, bars and clubs in the vicinity of the hotel are perfect venues to wind down from the day, and the English Garden is just two minutes away on foot for anyone looking to recuperate in the bosom of nature.
